Clever idea and hard work - will be good to see it at the IMM!
But like Allan said I hope it wasn't a useable shell, there are few too many left already!

Shame to chop up a decent shell. The number of CEs on the road is getting less and less.
I take it the towing weight restrictions are different over there? I'm sure that would be too heavy for UK rules. |

It is a shame to cut up a decent shell to use as a trailer, but it looks like you've done a good job of converting it.

I think it will be very nose heavy

Is it going to be using it's own rear wheels, or mounted onto an existing trailer frame like the one in this photo:
Will you be towing it with a Mini or something else? |

Does it have a big engine?
I'm sure you'll get lots of people looking on the way. It's very unusual. |

The clubman has i 1300cc engine.

At least we won't be able to miss you at IMM! It's going to be very distinctive.

Trailers should be balanced with a 50 - 80kg nose weight, with your wheels being very biased to the rear, you will add alot of excessive weight to the rear of
your CE
. This will make your CE front wheels very light and unstable.
Just my input

Looks fab but i'm with Al on this - move the wheels forward
The
weight on the tow ball (tongue weight) should be about 10% of the gross weight of your trailer, you can measure it with some bathroom scales. That trailer
loaded up at best is going to make your mini unstable and at worst it'll snap off Google "incorrect trailer tongue weight"

Noseweight liimit for a Mini is 45kg (is this what you refer to as tongue weight, Will?) I would err on the cautious side with an estate as the towball is
also further from the rear axle line.

yeah nose weight / tongue weight same thing

i stop whit this project its to heavy at the nose and for my other car |

That's a shame after all your effort. If you're driving all that distance you need to be safe.

Sensible decision I think. Is it possible to stick the front end back on to use as a shell again?
