Now has servo assisted brakes, took him for a spin this morning after charging the battery and he now has modern car brakes. Total cost was £45, inc the servo. Hope to get the new dash in soon but its currently being painted at...

back the right way up again

just thought i'd say that after 2 years upside down on mattresses in my garage, my clubvan is now the right way up & on its wheels again. what a nightmare trying to get the rear subframe bolts to fit. i still cant seem to find wheelarches that fit for 10" wheels though. bought abrand new wolfrace slot mag from ebay for £15 which will replace my dented one. going to rebuild my brake master cylinder next.

heard this earlier today and found it quite funny. three blokes in a pole dancing club watching a scantily clad woman doing her thing round the pole. the bloke from nottingham stuck a ten pound note on her left bum cheek, the bloke from derby, not wanting to be out done, stuck a twenty pound note on her right cheek, the bloke from newcastle swiped his credit card down her bum crack and took the cash back

my friends son has just found 3 tiny kittens dumped in a layby they are about 4 wks old and we are feeding them on replacement cat milk from the vets. they were cold and very very hungry but otherwise ok. i don't know much about cats i'm more of a dog person, if anyone knows anything about cats i'd appreciate any advice. wish i could get my hands on the people that dumped them grrrr.......

Hello I know this is my first post but I have ben a avid watcher for a long time. I just wanted to let you know of a mini friendly trackday run by the London and Surrey Mini Owners Club whcih is now open to non club members:

Monday 16th November at Brands Hatch indy circuit. It is an open pit lane 105dB noise limit.

the cost is £139 and the track time is 09:00hrs till 16:00hrs for full details or want to come along use the...

well i am if i can sort out a trailer think i'm ok to borrow my neighbours van which has got a towbar on just struggling for a trailer. have the use of a towing dolly but as he's not mot'd or taxed i'm not sure if thats legal, does anyone know ? very excited though can't wait for him to come home

Harvey went for MOT on Friday and unfortunately failed !! One top ball joint - easy fix Front to back brake pipe corroded - fiddly and pain in the rear end but fixable Corroded rear valance - bottoms !!! Real pain to do due to the tank !! So going to make a start tomorrow night and get the brake pipe of so I can measure it ready to get a replacement made up. Then make a start draining the tank ready to remove it and start knocking...

The new series has started, and next Tuesday ( 27th ) at 9pm on Discovery Real Time ( Sky 240 ) it's the one they filmed at the IMM

Be interesting to see the final product and how they put it all together for the telly, but from from the clip they showed, there's some great crowd shots ... have to see if we can spot anyone

This is one I put up here myself. It was a photo of a heavily metalflaked white and blue Clubman/1275GT I took while attending a custom car show in Blackpool during the late 1970s. I'm about 90% I put it up on here, but I can't find a thread on it. Nor can I find a copy of the photo on my PC. Does anyone remember it?

2010 events

I've started to put some events in the CER Events section - IMM2010 has been in there for a while (and I've already requested confirmation about who's still up for it ) and I've added L2B.

I will be adding more over the next few days / weeks - if I miss one please add it for yourself.

With the obvious exceptions for events like the IMM, we have a 5 car minimum for clubstands - I will make threads...

Since gravity took the hair from my head, to my chest etc*, I ALWAYS wear a cap when working. Well, today I was lying on my back inside the caravan removing the sink tap which is faulty. Took the cupboard drawer out, emptied the cupboard & lay on my back with the adjustables, undoing the nut from the back of the sink. Got it off, but while wriggling about, to try and see/reach, the cap fell off. So when I sat up, after partly (but obviously insufficiently!) wriggling out, I caught the top...

On the clubman 40 stand at the imm2009 there was a green clubman saloon with a grey vinyl roof.
The vinyl roof has no rain gutters at the front en the back end of the roof..only on the sides..also the vinyl went down the rear,around the
rear window..
It has a antenna on the rear parcel under the rear window on the driver side..The antenna is a slide model..
Also a rear windscreen wiper is on the car..
