Yuku Issues

Yuku is still pish (search doesn't work)

Anyone noticed of late that the search function doesn't work? Tried searching estate with 0 results. A bit odd, no?

IE8 doesn't like Yuku

I've just upgraded to IE8, which I like - certainly seems faster, and it has some nice features, especially on Ebay which has a live countdown and bid update.

However it doesn't like Yuku - the formatting/smiley/image insert buttons just don't work. Probably some Microsoft idiosyncracy causing it, no doubt they have decided to adopt their own interpretation of HTML as usual, but it's something I think Yuku need to be aware of.

Fortunately IE8 has a feature...

If any of you have any issues with using Yuku, please use the 'Support Ticket' to report it.
There's a link at the top of your page which you can click on and describe what the problem is. If it is something we can advise on we (Andy or I as Admins) will do so and if not we can escalate it and send the message to Yuku staff to sort out.

Yuku is pish.

Hate my first post here in a good long while to be a gripe, but Yuku sure is Pish. This is the third profile I've had to make and I just KNOW, as has happened with the other profiles I've created, as soon as I log off from here I'm not going to be able to get back in. Anybody got a clue as to what is wrong? Must be some f****d up stuff if I, as a computer guy, don't get it.

I have just transferred my eZsupporter over to Yuku and become a Yukusupporter

Hit the navigation box, top right corner
over on the left there is account information for Yukusupporter
Click on that and then there is an option to sync with eZboard, click on sync.
Then you need to logout and log...

Right at the top of the screen, whichever page of the forum you are on, there are three small pictures with a number in brackets next to them.

This tells you

how many messages you have (PMs)
how many friend requests you have
how many comments you have on your profile.

Thought I'd point them out as they are quite small and you might not have seen them!

When you're posting on a thread, and want to use the smilies, click the smiley icon above the posting box and it will show you the full range that used to appear to the right of the box on the old board. Use the arrows either side to scroll through them.

You can still type the code for each smiley ie : and then ) for

Whenever i post, whether i use quick reply or normal reply i just get a blank screen after submitting it...
I then refresh the page and i posted my message about 4 times

This happens everytime without fail.

You can create photo albums linked to your Yuku profile, and upload photos, create slideshows etc. I haven't had a chance to try it much to see if there are many restrictions on the amount of photos per login. Max photo size is 760x760px.

At the top right of the screen there's a little black box called NAVIGATION... if you press it it brings up your last few messages posted and some of your profile info. So far I've found it quite useful

Community Calendar

There's a link to a Community Calendar at the bottom of the main page. I'll be adding some events to it soon. If it's good enough we may use it as our main calendar to replace the one on the main site which doesn't get updated to often.

But I can't see it. It flashes into the window then disappears from view?
